National Security Adviser Ajit Doval on Tuesday said that India has neither forgotten nor will forget the dastardly Pulwama terror attack, and is forever ready to act against terrorists or their supporters.
“The country has neither forgotten, nor will ever forget the Pulwama terror attack. The leadership will decide on the time and locations to act. Be it against terrorists or those who support and harbour the terrorists,” he said at the 80th anniversary parade of the CRPF in Gurugram.
“Terrorism should be dealt with utmost priority. The current government is capable of dealing with any kind of internal and external threats. We have decision-making ability for retaliatory strike according to suitable time and place,” said Doval.

Paying homage to the 40 troopers who died in the 14 February terror attack, Doval said that if the morale of the soldiers is high, the future of the nation will be safe.
“Maintain this credibility, capability and professionalism as India is looking up to you,” Doval told the jawans.
“Whenever we have meetings and discuss which force to send, how many battalions should be sent and where, we always say send CRPF. It’s a credible force and we can completely trust them. It takes years to achieve such credibility,” Doval said at the event.
This year the CRPF decided not to hold any cultural programme as a mark of respect to the Pulwama soldiers.
Doval came under criticism from the opposition parties for the security lapse that led to the terror attack on the convoy.
But in the days after the attack, India launched airstrikes on the biggest JeM training camp in Pakistan’s Balakot and defended its own airspace from Pakistani aerial attack.
Pakistan has been accused of supporting and harbouring terrorists like JeM chief Maulana Masood Azhar and LeT chief Hafiz Saeed.
Though India again tried to get Masood Azhar placed in the UNSC list of global terrorists, China, for the fourth time, blocked the bid due to Beijing’s closeness with Islamabad.
