ED arrests two in illegal mining case from Himachal Pradesh
A spokesperson of the ED said in a press statement on Tuesday that both the accused were produced before the Special Court (PMLA), Ghaziabad on Tuesday.

An Army jawan belonging to 7 JK Rifles was killed while five others are missing after an avalanche hit them India-China Border in Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh on Wednesday afternoon. The Kinnaur avalanche was triggered with the slide of glacier near Shipkila.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Dhansukh said the avalanche hit the patrolling party of Army jawans around 3.30 pm near Namgia Dogri in Pooh area of Kinnaur district. A team was rushed to the spot.

“We have found one Army jawan buried under the snow and he was rushed to hospital where he was declared brought dead,” DySP Dhansukh said.
The rescue teams searched the area to locate the remaining jawans but could not find them till last reports came in.
Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur has expressed grief over the incident. He said the state government would provide all possible assistance to ensure speedy relief and rehabilitation works.
The Kinnaur deputy commissioner has been directed to closely liaise with the Army and ITBP authorities.
According to reports, the teams were repairing the water pipeline when the calamity occurred.
