Buzz Parade 2019: MIC annual music concert in Delhi on Monday

The Music Institute of Chromatics (MIC) is back with its annual concert Buzz Parade 2019. The musical event, which aims to raise funds for “economically weak visually impaired students”, will take place at Shah Auditorium in Delhi on Monday, 7 January.

The concert will see inauguration of ‘Tactile Guitar Chord Book’, which according to the organisers is an effort towards making music accessible to visually impaired people. Designed in the form of an actual guitar, the ‘Tactile Guitar Chord Book’ has been developed by MIC’s NGO partner Golden Shine Cultural Welfare Trust in collaboration with Raised Lines Foundation, a not-for-profit company incubated at IIT Delhi. One can learn the finger positioning of a guitar by feeling the book.

“The concert will make a real difference in the lives of many by raising funds to aid economically weak visually impaired students. The amount raised in the event will support and facilitate those who want to enhance their skills in music,” MIC said in a statement.

Buzz Parade 2019 will have performances by MIC students aged 4 to 60 years.

“All our efforts are aimed to bring a difference in the life of each and every child and it is sometimes the little things that can bring huge changes in someone’s life,” said MIC owner and director Mohit Rathore.
