Australia’s middle-order batsman Travis Head feels the team needs to continue its winning momentum in Boxing Day Test when they face India for the third match of the four-match Test series which will be played at the Melbourne Cricket Ground starting 27 December.
Australian side have levelled the ongoing four-match Test series to 1-1 after their massive 146 runs victory against India in the second Test match in Perth.

“We need to make sure we continue the momentum,” Travis Head was quoted as saying by The Age.
Head also heaped praises on Australian side for their performance in Perth Test.
“I thought the way we batted in the big moments of the game and the way we built pressure with the bat, the way we built pressure in the field, it was a great week. We will try to continue that on Boxing Day,” he said.
Travis Head had scored a brilliant half-century in the second innings of the opening Test to keep Australian in the contest. However, the visiting side completely outplayed Australians to register 32 runs.
Head continues his form in the second Test as he smashed a gritty 58 runs in the first innings of Perth Test as Australia posted a mammoth total of 326 runs on a difficult pitch. However, the left-hander isn’t yet satisfied with his approach and wants to fix it before the third Test.
“It’s OK to be positive, and we have been backed from the dressing room to be positive, and continue to play my game. It was probably a lot different from Adelaide — it was grind it out, batted a lot of time in the middle,” Head said. “The wicket (in Perth) was a bit different. Obviously (with) the pace of the wicket, I thought I could take on the game a little bit more.”
“(I will) learn from that. We are going to Melbourne which is, obviously, a good batting wicket (and will try to go) back to how I batted in Adelaide,” Head added.
