Twitter is a place to share opinion. As happened in previous years, the year 2018 too saw people taking to Twitter to connect, campaign, debate and discuss issues, ideas and incidents. From #MeToo to #Sarkar, #IPL, #KarnatakaElections to #DeepVeerWedding and everyday interests, Indian accounts had it all as the user tweeted their heart out.

As the year comes to an end soon, Twitter India released lists of topics and accounts Tweeted about the most in the worlds of TV, politics, sports, entertainment, music and social movements in India.

Political conversations touched an all-time high in 2018, with six politicians making it to the Top 10 Most Talked About Indian Accounts list. While Prime Minister Narendra Modi (@NarendraModi) tops the list, personalities from the entertainment industry claim four positions on the list.
