Virat Kohli does not need us, we need him: Bumrah
Bumrah, however, stressed that Kohli knows his cricket better than anyone else and that his experience of batting in these challenging conditions was essential from the team’s perspective.
In the video, Kohli was responding to mean tweets by cricket fans.
Cricket commentator Harsha Bhogle on Thursday reacted to Indian skipper Virat Kohli’s comment that Indians who don’t support the national cricket team should not live in the country.
Bhogle took to the microblogging site Twitter and posted, “Virat Kohli’s statement is a reflection of the bubble that most famous people either slip into or are forced into. The voices within it are frequently those that they wish to hear. It is a comfortable bubble and that is why famous people must try hard to prevent it from forming.”

“That is also why contrary opinions are frowned upon. Power and fame tend to attract those people who agree with you and reinforce your opinion because they benefit from proximity to fame and power,” Bhogle said in another tweet.

On Wednesday, Virat Kohli found himself in a bit of a spot after a video of him telling a fan to leave the country for liking England and Australian cricketers went viral on the internet. Virat Kohli was heavily criticised for his remark.
The video had been made as part of the promotions for Virat Kohli’s newly launched app, Virat Kohli Official App. The 30-year-old Indian captain had launched the application his 30th birthday.
In the video, Kohli was responding to mean tweets by cricket fans.
“Over-rated batsman and personally I see nothing special in his batting. I enjoy watching English and Australian batsmen more than these Indians,” Virat Kohli read out the fan’s tweet.
Responding to the tweet, Virat said, “Okay, I don’t think you should live in India then… you should go and live somewhere else no. Why are you living in our country and loving other countries? I don’t mind you not liking me but I don’t think you should live in our country and like other things. Get your priorities right.”
