AndhaDhun is a tale of twists and suspense. Having established major suspense at the very beginning, the movie kept the audience wondering about what to come next.
Set in the bylanes of Pune, the film showing the journey of a visually impaired musician is full of excitement, which doesn’t cease until the very end.
Basing it on Olivier Trennier’s 13-minute short film The Piano Tuner (2010), Sriram Raghavan has beautifully etched a full-length feature film out of it, putting it with a cast fit to play the characters.

The film begins as a romantic drama showing Ayushmann Khurrana’s character Aakash, the pianist, head over heels in love with Sophie (Radhika Apte), his crazy girlfriend. Radhika Apte, as expected, delivers an effortless performance once again.
Things go smooth for Aakash until he meets Simi (Tabu) as lives change for them after that. Tabu plays the wife of Pramod Sinha (Anil Dhawan), a yesteryear star.

Drawing parallels to the opening scene of a hunter and a prey, Raghavan doesn’t let the audience know until the curtains draw that who the hunter is here.
A thriller is no thriller if it is not able to play mind games with the audience, letting the element of unpredictability stick till the end to keep the viewers glued to their seats.
AndhaDhun is an amalgamation of all this, and Sriram Raghavan has definitely raised the bar for thrillers films as far as Bollywood is concerned.
The storytelling has been executed well. The characters didn’t have much screen time to establish themselves, but that makes sense as it would reduce the suspense.
The music of the film is a tribute to 1970s cinema. Watch it for the nostalgic music, Ayushmann’s powerful acting and the amazing storytelling.
