Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s ashes would be immersed in all major rivers of Himachal Pradesh, state Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chief Satpal Singh Satti announced on Sunday.
Addressing a meeting of state BJP leaders, Satti said the party would organise a condolence meeting for Bharat Ratna Vajpayee in Shimla on 22 August.
“This would be an all party condolence meet in which members from all political parties, religious and social organizations would participate,” he said.

Satti said the party workers would invite members from all sections for the condolence meet.
“Vajpayee was a great leader who was loved and respected by all in the country,” he said. He said Vajpayee had a long political career but despite the fact, he was selected to represent India on Kashmir issue in United Nations.
