CFA Results 2018: The result of CFA Exam Level I and II, which was held on June 23, 2018, were released on August 14, 2018. Candidates who have appeared for Level I and II exams for Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) will get their results by email.
The result will be sent to the registered email ID of the candidates. The CFA Institute was scheduled to release the results after 9 am EST. According to the notification on the official website, the delivery time of the email may vary due to the service.
According to a Bloomberg report, the pass rate for the CFA Level II exam fell from last year’s decade high.
While 45 per cent of applicants passed the Level II test, down from 47 per cent in 2017, according to an email sent to one of the successful candidates, the pass rate for Level I remained at 43 per cent for two years in a row, says the report. Results for CFA Level III exam will be released in two weeks from now.
To get the admission, the candidates need to clear all the three stages i.e. level I, II and III. Level I is conducted to check the ethical and professional knowledge of the aspirants. If the candidates are passed then he/she can prepare for the level II.
Level II tests the understanding of the asset evaluation, application and analysis. Those who pass the second level are qualified for the third.
If the candidate passed the level III then he/she is all set to work professionally as a portfolio manager/ financial adviser/ research analyst/ relationship manager etc.
The Board of Governors set minimum passing scores for each level. So, the candidates need to score the minimum passing scores to get promoted to the next level.
According to the pass rates of the previous years’ the candidates should know that for the December 2017 exam, the pass percentage was 43% for Level I. For the June 2017 exams, the percentage was 43% for level I, 47% for the level II and 54% for the level III.
The pass percentage is not fixed and it varies on the basis of the difficulty of the exams, the number of students take part and due to some other factors.
