Coleman is currently being treated at the North Evanston hospital’s critical care unit for grievous injuries. He is reportedly is under observation 24/7.

According to an India Today report, Headley was attacked on 8 July by the inmates. It is not clear yet as to why he was attacked.

The report says that the men who attacked Headley are brothers who are serving time for assaulting policemen decades ago.
Headley had in February 2016 deposed via video conferencing before a Mumbai court in connection with the 26/11 Mumbai attacks.
Born as Daood Sayed Gilani in Washington DC to Sayed Salim Gilani, a well-known Pakistani diplomat and broadcaster, and Alice Serrill Headley, an American socialite, Headley had been a double agent working with Pakistan and Islamist terror elements.
