Dictator’s template
A few decades back, a decreasing number of countries were given taints of autocracies and dictatorship (even though many were under undemocratic monarchies).
The Venezuela Embassy celebrated the country’s 207th Independence anniversary with a function at the Bolivar Hall of the mission in New Delhi. Addressing the largely-attended function, Venezuela Ambassador Augusto Mantiel outlined the many achievements of his government and its determination to further strengthen ties with India. He also spoke about many challenges faced by his South American country as a result of what he called economic harassment by the US.
Union Tribal Affairs Minister Jaswantsinh Sumanbhai Bahbor was the Chief Guest of the function. Ambassadors of Latin American, Caribbean, European, African and Asian countries attended the event and extended their congratulations to the Venezuela ambassador on the occasion. Entrepreneurs, professors, students, artists and other friends of Venezuela also showed up to pay homage to the Father of the Venezuelan nation, Simon Bolivar.
