Chief Minister, Jai Ram Thakur on Friday said the people of Himachal had lot of expectations from the government so it becomes the duty of the officers and officials to work with greater commitment to meet their aspirations.
Presiding over the review meeting to monitor the progress in Chief Minister’s announcements, Central schemes, e-mails, beneficiaries of Central/State schemes and 30 new schemes announced in the budget 2018-19, Thakur asserted that all the departments should set targets for themselves for implementation and execution of various developmental projects so that these could be completed within stipulated time period.
He said that it was a matter of great satisfaction that during the first 100 days of the state government, over 88 percent targets were achieved set by the government. Now, the government has set targets for next six months and every government functionaries should work with greater dedication to achieve the targets.

He however expressed displeasure over the progress in 30 new schemes announced by him in the budget 2018-19, the Chief Minister directed the officers to start work on all these schemes before the monsoon session.
He said that departments should work with close coordination so that the work on the announcements does not suffer due to lack of coordination. The Chief Minister’s Office would coordinate with various departments for effective and time bound completion of the Chief Minister’s announcements.
Thakur said that all the Central schemes such as Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin), Pradhan Mantri Aawas Yojna (Gramin), Pradhan Mantri Aawas Yojna (Shahari) and Swachh Bharat Mission (Shahari) should be implemented in a letter and spirit.
