Karan Johar marks 20 Years of ‘Koffee With Karan’ with memorable moments
Karan Johar's popular chat show "Koffee With Karan" has completed its 20 years, and the filmmaker celebrated the milestone with a special video.
Kartik Aaryan gained huge popularity through his films Pyaar ka Puchnama and Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety. Owing to his crazy fan following and demand, director Karan Johar offered him a film opposite Akshay Kumar. However, it is now learnt that he has lost the film because of his starry tantrums.
According to reports, Dharma Productions had called Kartik to discuss the possibility of playing the second lead in a film starring Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor Khan.

However, soon after the meeting, Kartik’s overenthusiastic team announced that he had been cast opposite Kareena Kapoor Khan in Karan Johar’s next.
“Dharma Productions sent Kartik feelers regarding a possible role, but it was nothing concrete. His team messed it up by releasing reports that the actor had been signed by Karan Johar when no such thing had happened,” a report in Deccan Chronicle quoted a Dharma Production source as saying.
The report also quoted a trade analyst who said the production house found the remuneration demanded by Kartik unexpectedly high. “He thinks he’s an A-list star now, and that he should be paid accordingly. Sadly, the producers don’t agree,” said the trade analyst.
