Riddhima Kapoor defends brother Ranbir against misogyny claims
Riddhima Kapoor responds to online misogyny claims, defending her brother Ranbir and Alia's relationship, emphasizing their happiness and strong bond.
Ranbir Kapoor has been in news for his brilliant performance as Sanjay Dutt in Sanju and people are taking more interest in his personal life now. The actor is in Paris at the moment to celebrate his mother Neetu Kapoor’s birthday. The former actor turned 60 today (July 8) and ushered in her birthday in the French capital with family.
Ranbir Kapoor’s sister Ridhima Kapoor Sahni is also in Paris, along with father Rishi Kapoor and grandmother Krishna Raj Kapoor to make the day special for Neetu.
Rumours are doing the rounds that Ranbir’s rumoured girlfriend Alia Bhatt may also make an appearance at the celebration.

Neetu has always been very supportive of son Ranbir who is known have been more close to her than his father.

In an interview to The Firstpost, Neetu Kapoor had talked about his son’s relationship status and what forced him to grow early on in his life. She had said, “He was a quiet boy, but full of mischief. A complete mastikhor. He would irritate me, irritate Ridhima (Ranbir’s older sister). Go on and on, especially with her. There were times when we would go out for dinner and he would get at her so badly, that she would get up and leave.”
She even spoke about the kind of woman she hopes to come in Ranbir’s life to this she said, “Someone who will understand how simple he is. That he is a daal chawal sort of boy, that he not very high maintenance and will not really appreciate having a high maintenance wife. The best girl for him will be someone who loves him for who he is, not what he is.”
On the work front, Ranbir Kapoor will start shooting for Ayan Mukherji’s Brahmastra next schedule which casts Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan and Mouni Roy in the lead role.
