Bollywood actress Sonali Bendre has been diagnosed with a “high-grade cancer”. The B-town celebrities and fans were taken aback by the news after the actress announced it on social media. Her contemporaries and other celebs have been showing support ever since they were informed about her health.

Akshay Kumar, who has starred in films like Sapoot, Tarazu, and Keemat with Sonali Bendre, paid a visit to her in New York. The Padman actor is vacationing in the US. As he got the news, Akshay decided to meet his former colleague.

Talking to a leading daily after meeting Bendre, he said, “I know that Sonali is a fighter. May God help bring her back in the best of health.”
On 4 July, Sonali took to Twitter and shared an emotional message and revealed that she has been diagnosed with cancer and is undergoing now in New York for treatment. She wrote, “Sometimes when you least expect it, life throws you a curveball. I have recently been diagnosed with a high-grade cancer that has metastised, which we frankly did not see coming. A niggling pain led to some tests, which led to this unexpected diagnosis. My family and close friends have rallied around me, providing the best support system that anyone can ask for. I am very blessed and thankful for each of them.”
