On Tuesday, the minor girl was kidnapped while she was waiting for her father outside her school.
The minor was brutally tortured and gang-raped. The accused slit her throat and left her to die. She is currently battling for her life in the hospital.
On Wednesday, the Madhya Pradesh police made the first arrest as the accused named Irfan alias Bhaiyu, 20, a labourer, was nabbed on the basis of CCTV footage.

Another accused Asif (24) was arrested on Friday. Irfan had named Asif as an accomplice. Both were booked under relevant sections of the IPC and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act even as the probe continued.
Doctors treating the victim in Indore said she was “severely assaulted”. She has started showing signs of improvement, they said, adding that the minor might be out of danger physically but her mental trauma would last longer.
