At least three people, including a woman passerby, were killed and five injured as members of Gogi and Tillu gnags fired at each other in broad daylight in the Burari area of North Delhi.
Five persons were injured and hospitalised after the gunfight.
According to a senior police officer, the fight started when members of the Tillu gang, who were in a Scorpio vehicle, were hit by a Fortuner, allegedly being driven by members of the Gogi gang. This led to both sides firing at each other.

Three persons were killed — Mukesh, a member of the Tillu gang, a suspected unidentiefed member of the Gogi gang and a woman who happened to be passing by.
There have been previous instances of shootouts between the two gangs.
Gang wars are not new in the national capital region. In March, a man was killed following a shootout between two gangs in Pitampura area of West Delhi.
The man, who lost his life, was identified as Monu and it is believed that he belonged to one of the gangs.
The other members of the gangs, who were involved in the shootout, fled the scene.
Earlier, on 15 January, a 30-year-old man was shot dead allegedly by three men in Rohini’s Prashant Vihar.
It was suspected that the killing was a fall-out of a gang war. According to media reports, it was allegedly carried out by gangster Jatinder alias Gogi along with his associates.
The deceased, who was identified as Ravi Bhardwaj, was reportedly having food at a roadside eatery at the time of the incident. Three people, who came in a car, had shot at least 15 bullets in Ravi’s head, chest and abdomen. He was rushed to the hospital where he was declared brought dead.
