Before its release, the makers of the film came up with a special poster of the film for the Chinese audiences. Now it is being reported that the film is being titled as Toilet Hero in China for the local audiences.
The film has surpassed the number of screens for films like Hindi Medium, Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Secret Superstar in its record setting trend in China.
Apart from the huge accomplishment of the film in the neighbouring country, ‘Toilet…’ is also the fourth Hindi film to release in China in 2018 within the first six months of the year.
From Secret Superstar’s phenomenal run to Hindi Medium’s enormous success, content-oriented Hindi films have a great potential in China and Akshay Kumar’s social drama is expected to make the market for Hindi films even bigger.
Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, a film based on the importance of toilets for women in the rural and the undeveloped urban areas, stars Akshay and Bhumi Pednekar in the lead roles. The film was released worldwide on August 15, 2017.
