Chowk outside Sarai Kale Khan ISBT named Birsa Munda Chowk
He made the announcement on the occasion of Janjatiya Gaurav Divas, celebrated to commemorate the birth anniversary of freedom fighter and tribal leader Bhagwan Birsa Munda.
“Chief Minister (Manohar Lal Khattar) appreciated this work and asked to implement this software in all other districts of Haryana,” the spokesperson further said.
Implementing the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi’s Digital India Campaign in Sonepat, the district administration has now almost completed the task of digitising millions of documents since 1870 kept in the record-room of mini secretariat.
While giving details an official spokesperson said that for digitising these important documents, the district administration on its own developed a unique software under the e–Revenue Archives Project. Accordingly, people would be able to see their old record on a click.
“Chief Minister (Manohar Lal Khattar) appreciated this work and asked to implement this software in all other districts of Haryana,” the spokesperson further said.

All the documents related to revenue Department like Jamabandi, Intkaal, Mishal Halfiyat, Deewani, and record related to revenue court and also of land registration were lying in the record room, the spokesperson said.
This record is generally required to resolve the land or revenue disputes and the decisions are taken after studying these records.
Thus these records are quite important. After scanning and digitization, these documents would now be safe from termites also, he added.
The spokesperson said that for further improvement in the software, a team of new and old Patwaris having knowledge of Urdu is prepared. In addition, special training camps have also been organised to train the employees about this software.
