France are fast emerging as the favourites for the 2018 FIFA World Cup and the Les Blues squad is clearly in high spirits, as is evident by hotshot Ousmane Dembele’s headed goal while kneeling that has gone viral on Instagram.

It’s rare to see a goal like this in today’s fast-paced game, for most attackers hardly have time to breathe, let alone kneel and head into an unguarded net, but the 21-year-old Barcelona forward did it in style:

Along with Antoine Griezmann and Kylian Mbappe, Dembele forms part of a formidable attack triumvirate that has seen Didier Deschamps’ men emerge as frontrunners for the World Cup in Russia.

With Paul Pobga, N’Golo Kante, Raphael Varane and Hugo Lloris, among many others, forming a part of the France squad, it’s not a surprise to see them labelled as the favourites.
