Former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah was on Tuesday appointed Vice-President of the National Conference by the party president Farooq Abdullah.
As per the nomination order, henceforth the party will have only one Vice President as per the JKNC Constitution.
Farooq Abdullah gave approval to the nomination of office-bearers on key party posts to strengthen the organisational network and for close monitoring and supervision of party affairs, also to give representation to the party’s women’s wing, youth and other sections of the society, and reshape different wings of the party.
Party leaders Chowdhary Muhammad Ramzan, Peerzada Ghulam Ahmed Shah, Rattan Lal Gupta, Ajay Sadhotra, Mushtaq Bukhari, SS Salathia and Sakina Ittoo have been appointed state secretaries.
