France’s team is packed with heavy hitters up front, with Kylian Mbappe one of the leading lights, but there’s always room for improvement and Les Blues must have been hoping the 19-year-old picked up some pointers when he hung out with Mike Tyson at the ongoing French Open.

The duo was in the French capital to see Tyson’s compatriot Sloane Stephens take on Anett Kontaveit in the third round at Roland Garros.

The American Stephens steamrolled her opponent with a 6-2, 6-0 victory to reach her maiden quarter-final at the second Grand Slam of the year.

Perhaps that’s why Tyson agreed to the picture after the tie, although he wasn’t looking particularly happy about it.

The 51-year-old, in is prime the finest boxer on the planet, runs his own YouTube channel and podcast while having authored two books since hanging up his gloves in 2005.

Tyson, who once infamously bit off the ear of his opponent, has made a number of cameos as himself in Hollywood films and several television series as well.

Never short of controversy, for his misdemeanours on and off the ring, Tyson may not have plenty of knowhow about football, but he can sure tell Mbappe how not to let the attention get to his head.

At 19, the France and Paris Saint-Germain star has the world at his feet and is set to lead his country’s charge at the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

After falling at the penultimate hurdle at the 2016 Euros, France will be backing themselves to go all the way in Russia.

So far so good for Didier Deschamps’ men as they have beaten both Ireland (2-0) and Italy (3-1) in their warm-up matches. They now face the USA on June 9 in their final friendly tie before the World Cup begins.

The European powerhouses have been drawn in Group C along with Australia, Peru and Denmark.

They open their campaign on June 16 when they take on the Socceroos.
