Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday addressed the Bharatiya Janata Party Yuva Morcha workers through his NaMo App and rejected the Congress’ charges against the government for not creating enough jobs in the country.
Dubbing Congress’ criticism of the government on employment and job creation as a conspiracy, he said “the opposition party has been putting the blame on the BJP government because it failed to anything during its 10-year rule”.
“The Congress has nothing to say about its achievements. They ruled the country for 60 years and what did they do for employment generation. If there is employment, is that due to four years of our government. So, they find it easy to accuse us and spread lies,” he said.
The prime minister claimed that several of its initiatives resulted in the growth of jobs in the public, private and personal sectors.
“With emphasis on public and private sector, we are also focussing on personal sector for employment. The pace of work on infrastructure projects has been increased,” Modi said in response of a query by a BJP cadre.
He said due to the initiatives of the government, India has emerged as the best destination for foreign investment and this has been approved by various credit agencies.
“The Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in India has reached its highest level which is consistently increasing,” he said.
PM Modi hit out at the opposition for opposing technology be it in the form of Aadhaar card or EVMs and said the BJP wants to promote a modern India by giving importance to skill development and innovation.
The prime minister also lauded efforts of party workers in maintaining the public mood in favour of the party despite rumours of a hung assembly in the May 12 elections in Karnataka.
“At 45 degree temperature heat, I have seen the enthusiasm of people…it is rare to witness such level of enthusiasm…I can see that in Karnataka, people themselves are fighting the elections,” he said.
Lauding BJP youth morcha workers for their contribution, he said, “Youth power is at the forefront whether it is on line, off line or mass contact. Youth are the biggest asset of BJP.”
“On one hand, there are parties that have lagged behind in technology, either they cannot understand or are purposely spreading lies. They have opposed all subjects in technology– EVM, Aadhaar card, mobile phone, everywhere.”
“On the other hand for a modern India, in every field of life we want to give importance to technology, be it skill development or innovation.”
