Karan Johar marks 20 Years of ‘Koffee With Karan’ with memorable moments
Karan Johar's popular chat show "Koffee With Karan" has completed its 20 years, and the filmmaker celebrated the milestone with a special video.
Karan Johar stated that the film will feature Sidharth playing the character of Sher Shah Vikram Batra. The film will be directed by Vishu Vardhan and written by Sandeep Shrivastava.
Karan Johar has announced his next project with Sidharth Malhotra which will be based on the life of Kargil war hero Vikram Batra.
As we know that Sidharth Malhotra debuted in Bollywood with Student of the Year, directed by Karan Johar. Karan and Sidharth have worked in films like Aiyaary, Kapoor & Sons and Ittefaq.
Karan Johar took to his Twitter handle to break this news. He stated that the film will feature Sidharth playing the character of ‘Sher Shah’ Vikram Batra. The film will be directed by Vishu Vardhan and written by Sandeep Shrivastava. The film will be produced by Shabbir Boxwala and Dharma Productions.

Earlier speculations came up that the film is delayed. But a source informed Deccan Chronicle that “Sidharth had reached out to a whole lot of people, but the first of them was Karan Johar, his mentor. Sidharth believed that Karan would welcome the idea. But, then he was shocked when Karan decided not to take up the film.”
In an interview with Hindustan Times, Sidharth said, “It is based on a real person and I think one needs to handle that with a lot of sensitivity. The character that I’ll be playing next is very sensitive and his story is also quite touching. When I was approached for the film, and they spoke to me about the character, I felt it means a lot to me and I have so much respect for him.”
The Kargil hero was posthumously awarded the Param Vir Chakra — India’s highest war-time gallantry award.
