India and the US discussed developments in the maritime domain in the Indo-Pacific region and exchanged views on ways to further strengthen bilateral maritime security cooperation.
The two countries held the third round of the India-US maritime security dialogue over the past two days in Goa.
The Indian delegation included Pankaj Sharma, Joint Secretary in the External Affairs Ministry, and other senior officials from the External Affairs and Defence ministries.

The US side included David Helvey, Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defence for Asian and Pacific Security Affairs and Daniel Rosenblum, Deputy Assistant Secretary, Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs.
The two sides also reviewed the implementation of the decisions taken during the previous maritime security dialogues, the MEA said. The next round of the dialogue will be held in the US next year.
