Junkyard Cafe has taken its signature scrappy-yet-elegant decor and taste to Saket. Junkyard, which already has outlets in Connaught Place and Rajouri Garden, is a quick-service casual dining resto-bar and lounge. Over the years, Junkyard Café has emerged as a cool place to chill out with family and friends.
JUNKYARD’s VIBE
Junkyard takes quirky interiors and great food to a higher level. The cafe is spacious and its bar is beautifully designed in a form of a plane made of scrap.
The café’s interiors are made out of recycled and junk material with an explosion of colours and art. Discarded car seats, old chipped furniture, bulbs, old tyres and other scrapped things have been given an innovative lease in the café.
The quirky décor and live music are sure to tempt you again. The place often organises music nights. The music here plays a key role in keeping the customers charged up.
The most appreciable is the manner in which scrap has been put to use as articles of decoration.
JUNKYARD’s FOOD
The Junkyard Café promises a great and amazing mix of the multi-cuisine menu. The menu conceptualized by Chef Pavan Rana offers authentic cuisine, which has been prepared using the modern as well traditional cooking techniques. Chef Rana and Senior Captain Sanjay Kumar Dogra brilliantly bring the essence of food on the platter.
Right from the North Indian essentials, including kebabs, tikkas, the menu takes a leap into Italian, Continental, Mediterranean, Thai, Chinese, American. And they have got each cuisine just right!
To complement food items, the Rastro-bar has excellent cocktails, non-alcoholic beverages, mocktails, shakes, and smoothies.
Here’s a quick look at all that we picked from Junkyard’s diverse menu.
VEGETARIAN PLATTER
Beginning with the starters, Junkyard Cafe has Sesame Paneer Tikka, Subz Seek Kebab, Tandoori Masala Chap, Tandoori Broccoli. The platter was fresh, and we could taste the ingredients that went into making the delicious Indian cuisine.
CHILLY PANEER
One of the most popular dishes is Chilly Paneer served with mustard sauce and chilly sauce. The cottage cheese was just the right amount of charred, and most importantly was served piping hot!
NON-VEGETARIAN PLATTER
Now imagine that you bit into one, and what you taste isn’t just soft and juicy minced meat. They served Chicken Tikka, Tandoori Fish Tikka, Tandoori Chicken and Chicken Seekh Kebab.
CHICKEN KOTHE DIMSUMS
Minced chicken pot stickers and pan, served with multiples sauces like schezwan, chilly sauce, and mustard sauce.
BEVERAGES
To complement the food, I ordered Minto Plus, Citrus Mart and their special Skeleton 3. In Minto Plus, the ingredients were, watermelon and mint leaves and Citrus Mart contained all the citrus fruits.
Their special graveyard cocktail drink Skeleton 2 had Whiskey, Cardamom, Jasmine, Pineapple juice topped with club soda.
WALNUT EPIC BROWNIE
End your meal with the only and best dessert, Walnut Epic Brownie. It was rich in chocolate, tossed with vanilla ice-cream.
Junkyard Cafe doesn’t have a lavish menu but the ones it offers an authentic taste to all the cuisines.
