Putin plays with f ire in his new doctrine
Of late Vladimir Putin has shifted Russia’s nuclear doctrine to a more directly and openly retaliatory posture in response to any attack by Ukraine or any NATO country using longer-range US missiles.

“I have got the report from Indian Embassy in Tehran. A bus carrying 20 Indian pilgrims on way to Qom met with an accident last night. Unfortunately, we lost Ms.Kulsum Fatima aged 14 years because of head injuries,” informed External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj on Twitter.

She added that one of the injured is undergoing treatment in the ICU while others have been discharged.
“Another Indian national Mohammad Ali is in the ICU. Eighteen Indian nationals were discharged after first aid. Our mission staff is in the hospital to provide any assistance,” she wrote.

Qom is considered one of the holiest places in Shia Islam and is the second most sacred city in Iran after Mashhad. The city is the centre for religious studies in Iran and has the country’s largest theological school, the Hawza ‘Ilmiyya Qom.
The shrine of Fatima Masumeh is the holiest religious site in Qom.
