In a case that resembles the script of Irrfan Khan’s popular Bollywood film ‘Hindi Medium’, Gaurav Goel presented forged documents to avail economically weaker sections (EWS) category quota to get his son admitted to the Sanskriti School.
As per Times of India reports, the alleged incident occurred four years ago and surfaced on Saturday after Goel tried to get his younger son admitted to the same school under sibling quota.

In 2013, Goel had submitted Sanjay Camp, a slum near Chanakyapuri, as his house address and mentioned his annual income as Rs 67,000 to get his elder son admitted to the school under the quota for economically weaker sections. As for his occupation, Goel had told the school authorities that he was working at an MRI centre. He had forged voter ID card and birth certificates.
Goel allegedly told authorities he was ready to shift his elder son to general category as his financial status had improved.
However, the school noticed some discrepancies in his suggestion and contacted the police concerning the incident.
During investigation, the police found that Goel operated multiple businesses and had visited 20 countries. The police later arrested Gaurav Goel from his residence in Jawahar Nagar near Kamala Nagar in North Delhi.
The police have also launched an investigation into how Goel was able to acquire the forged documents.
Meanwhile, the Sanskriti School has expelled Goel’s son.
