He said that Roerich, who was a strong supporter of ancient Indian tradition and customs, had further strengthened these ties between two countries and finally settled in Kullu district.
“We have to move forward with this thinking and also preserve the heritage culture of that time. We need to organise International conference or seminars to promote the heritage legacy of Roerich up to the masses,” he said.
He also emphasised to involve and include dedicated members in Roerich Trust.
Acharya Devvrat also suggested that Aru Swati Sansthan could also be made more functional and we could promote Yoga and traditional seeds through this centre.
He said that events and programmes for local children should be organised here so that future generation could understand their heritage and culture which would be helpful in promoting Roerich art.
Acharya Devvrat said that he would make every possible effort in this direction.
Russia could be made a partner in the development of the state by taking advantage of their expertise in agriculture, tourism, education, transport, disaster management and technology, he added.
Russian Ambassador Nikolay thanked the Governor for extending support in developing Roerich Art Gallery and briefed about future activities on their side for the promotion of cultural exchange between two countries.
