BSF intercepts Pakistani drone carrying drugs in Jammu region
The BSF has foiled a drugs smuggling attempt by recovering a Pakistani drone carrying narcotics in the border sector of Arnia in Jammu.
Their remarks came as a shutdown was observed in Kashmir.
Veteran Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi raked a controversy on Tuesday with a tweet against India on the Kashmir issue. Afridi was trolled for the comment by people from all spheres of life.
The most scathing remark came from songwriter Javed Akhtar. Akhtar, who is known to not mince words when it comes to speaking his mind, took to Twitter and tore into Afridi. “Dear Mr Afridi , since you want to see a peaceful JK sans any human rights violations could you please see to it that pak terrorists stop infiltrations n pak army stops supporting the separatists by closing down the training camps . It will greatly help in solving the problem,” wrote Javed Akhtar while responding to Afridi’s Tweet.

Shahid Afridi, who had led Pakistan cricket team in the past, took to Twitter to comment on the shutdown in the Valley and the deaths of four civilians in crossfire during the anti-terror operations in Jammu-Kashmir.
“Appalling and worrisome situation ongoing in the Indian Occupied Kashmir.Innocents being shot down by oppressive regime to clamp voice of self determination & independence. Wonder where is the @UN & other int bodies & why aren’t they making efforts to stop this bloodshed?,” wrote Afridi while tagging the United Nations in his tweet.

“We respect all. And this is an example as sportsman. But when it comes to human rights we expect the same for our innocent Kashmiris,” Afridi wrote in another Tweet with a picture wherein he is posing with an Indian fan carrying a Tricolour.

The comment offended many in India, who, besides trolling him, reminded the swashbuckling cricketer that he had once praised India to the skies by saying that the “Pakistani cricket team received more love in India than they did in Pakistan”.
However, Javed Akhtar was not the only one who slammed Afridi for his remark. Former Indian cricket opener Gautam Gambhir also slammed Afridi.
Gambhir even made fun of Afridi with an “under nineteen” remark and said that the media should not pay attention to the Pakistani cricketer’s tweet.
” Media called me for reaction on @SAfridiOfficial tweet on OUR Kashmir & @UN. What’s there to say? Afridi is only looking for @UN which in his retarded dictionary means “UNDER NINTEEN” his age bracket. Media can relax, @SAfridiOfficial is celebrating a dismissal off a no- ball!!!,” Gambhir wrote on the micro-blogging site.

But Afridi was not the only one to have tweeted against India. Pakistani cricketer-turned-politician Imran Khan had on Monday used similar words.
“Strongly condemn the brutality of Indian forces against innocent Kashmiris and the killing of unarmed civilians in IOK. The people of Pak stand with the Kashmiris democratic struggle for self-determination. The UNSC must act against Indian aggression in IOK.”

Their remarks came as a shutdown was observed in Kashmir following a bloody Sunday in which 20 people – 13 terrorists, four civilians and three soldiers – were killed in the three separate gunfights in Shopian and Anantnag districts.
