The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has reportedly decided not to conduct the Class 10 mathematics paper again.

The board has now decided against holding a re-examination, even though the Class 10 maths question paper was allegedly leaked.

The board, reportedly, analysed random sample of answer sheets and it was found that the sheets showed no major change from the performance of students in their internal assessment which proved that the leak didn’t have a major impact.

“Consequent to a preliminary evaluation of the impact of the reportedly leaked CBSE class 10 maths paper and keeping in mind the paramount interest of students, the CBSE has decided not to conduct a re-examination, even in the states of Delhi NCR and Haryana. Hence, no re-exam for class 10,” Education Secretary, Anil Swarup said.

In the wake of reports regarding the exam question paper leak, the CBSE had initially announced re-examination of two papers – Class 10 maths and Class 12 economics.

The re-examination for Class 12 economics paper will be held on April 25.

Delhi police had arrested three accused in connection with the CBSE question paper leak.

The two accused teachers were identified as 29-year-old Rishabh and 26-year-old Rohit, who allegedly leaked the paper to Tauqeer (26), a tutor at Easy Class Coaching Centre.

The exam invigilators Rishabh and Rohit reportedly opened the paper at 9:15 am, while it was supposed to be opened at 9:45 am. They allegedly sent the pictures to Tauqeer.
