Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Friday accused the BJP of turning a deaf ear to the struggles of backward classes.
Uproar over the Cauvery water sharing issue rocked Parliament on Monday as both the houses were adjourned for the day.
Members of the AIADMK from Tamil Nadu created uproar in both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha as they shouted slogans and demanded the formation of Cauvery Management Board (CMB).
Despite repeated request by the Rajya Sabha chairman to let the house function, the members continued with the sloganeering leading to adjournment of the upper house.

The lower house, which was adjourned till noon by the speaker, saw unruly scene as soon as it reconvened forcing the speaker to adjourn the house for the day.
Along with the AIADMK, the DMK too has been pressurising the Centre for setting up CMB along with the Cauvery Water Regulation Committee (CWRC) as per the Supreme Court’s orders.
The Centre has failed to set up the Cauvery Management Board within six weeks of the top court’s order of February 16. The six-week deadline ended on March 29.
Tamil Nadu political leaders say the BJP is acting in favour of Karnataka, which is opposed to the CMB and where Assembly elections are due.
Meanwhile, the Supreme Court will hear later in the day Tamil Nadu’s plea seeking contempt proceedings against the Centre for its failure to set up the board.
In a bid to buy time, the Central government had on Saturday moved the SC filing a clarification petition and asking for three months for implementing its judgment in view of the May assembly elections in Karnataka.
