White, an upcoming Bengali silent feature film, will narrate the story of three rape survivors and how they fought back to emerge stronger.

Film director Aneek Chaudhuri has dared to challenge the stereotype by opting for this genre of movei-making at a time when one can’t even think of a film without dialogues.

“Rape is a serious issue that many modern day directors portray in a form that victimizes a person; White is a film that in turn talks about the consequences of rape and how a victim confronts her position after rape and attempts to live a better life,” Aneek said.

White weaves three different tales on a similar theme, but each woman has her own life and a way of leading it. All the three stories are somehow connected with each other and will showcase the harsh reality checks of life a woman has to face when she is raped.

Aneek Chaudhuri has had his last films screened at prestigious film festivals around the globe. His feature film The Wife’s Letter (Streer Potro) was screened at Festival de Cannes (2017), Hamilton Film Festival, British Council. Beside this, his latest documentary was a part of IFFI Goa 2017 named Urban Voice. Apart from this, Aneek is a research scholar in films studies.

White is produced under the banner of La artiste productions and will be screened at various international film festivals in 2018.
