In a world of technology where frauds and scams have become much more easier, the number of cyber crimes has also increased.
The latest from the tinsel town is that a female actor’s Aadhaar card was used to book a room in a five-star hotel without her knowledge.

The actor is Urvashi Rautela, who was last seen in Hate Story IV. She apparently became victim of a cyber crime when the actor’s Aadhaar card was used to book a room in her name.
According to a report in Economic Times, Urvashi found out about the fraud when she visited the hotel for a meeting with an advertising agency and the hotel staff approached her to inform her about the room.
“I asked my secretary about it and learnt that there is no booking being done and someone has misused my Aadhar Card details to book a room in the hotel,” Urvashi was quoted as saying.
The report further indicates that a case has been registered under the Indian Penal Code, and sections related to cheating and impersonation under the IT Act against an unidentified person.
The investigation is still going on and the cyber cell is trying to figure out how did they get hold of Rautela’s Aadhaar card.
Rautela is a model-turned-actor and appeared briefly in Sanam Re and is popular for her roles in films like Great Grand Masti and Hate Story IV.
