Drone surveillance in UP’s Sambhal, cops maintain tight vigil
Holi celebrations in Uttar Pradesh’s Sambhal district and other ‘sensitive zones’ were held amidst tight police security and elaborate surveillance via drone and CCTV cameras on Friday.
Azam Khan at a public event called Jaya Prada a ''nachne waali' (nautch girl).
A day after actor-politician Jaya Prada remarked that Azam Khan reminds her of ‘Alauddin Khilji’, the Samajwadi Party leader has responded by calling her a ‘nachne waali’ (nautch girl).
While addressing public at an event, Azam Khan went on to use un-parliamentary language by saying that a ‘nachne waali’ (nautch girl) has made some remark against him. “Tell me, if I entertain this ‘naachne gaane wali’, how will I concentrate on politics?” he said.

The row apparently began after Jaya Prada, while speaking to ANI news agency on Saturday had said: “When I was watching Padmaavat, Khilji’s character reminded me of Azam Khan ji, how he had harassed me during elections when I was contesting.”

Jaya Prada, a former Samajwadi party leader, along with Amar Singh, was expelled from the party in 2010 for indulging in activities inimical to its political interests and damaging its image.
Jaya Prada had also accused Azam Khan of maligning her image. Azam Khan supporters had also actively campaigned against their own party member, Jaya Prada, in 2009 elections.
However, Jaya Prada won the 2009 election but by a reduced margin of about 30,000 votes.
Their rivalry again surfaced in 2012 as well, with Jaya Prada vowing to destroy Khan’s “arrogance”.
