Why Manoj Bajpayee supports new talent in cinema
Manoj Bajpayee discusses the power of new talent in films and unveils the teaser of his upcoming thriller 'Despatch' at IFFI. Details inside.
Veteran Bhojpuri actor Ravi Kishan, who was last seen in Mukkabaaz, says actor Sidharth Malhotra should be forgiven for his sarcastic comment on Bhojpuri language.
Well, those of you are clueless about why Kishan wants that Sidharth should be forgiven over his comment is about the latter’s remark on the language (Bhojpuri), which resulted in serious backlash from the community on social forums.
Sidharth, who was promoting his film Aiyaary on a reality television show, said that Bhojpuri gave him a ‘latrine kind of feeling’. This was not well taken by the community who slammed the actor for his sarcasm over the language which hurt the sentiments of many.

Much to everyone’s surprise Kishan took a stand for the actor and believes that it’s time Sidharth should be forgiven after he went on to apologise for his comment.
According to reports in HT, Kishan said: “I don’t blame Sidharth. I even asked Manoj (Bajpayee), who was also present there. But the sound was too loud that I didn’t understand a single thing that lead to a misunderstanding. He said sorry later, so we shouldn’t be too hardcore and take out our swords over this. He should be forgiven… One person’s comments can’t bring down the entire Bhojpuri community or language.”
When asked if people around him still look down upon the language and Bhojpuri industry, Kishan had the best reply.
“People say that this industry (Bhojpuri) has gotten worse in the last 3-4 years. It’s better that I make a film and try to clean this industry, which was started by me. I want to do the best on my part for the entire industry,” he said.
