Padmaavat is having a better run at the box office worldwide than at the Indian box office and apparently has beaten Salman’s syp thriller in overall collections.
Padmaavat is still to enter the Rs 300-crore club in India, whereas TZH earned Rs 340-crore (approx) in the home country. But Padmaavat’s overseas collection is little more than Tiger Zinda Hai.
Interestingly, Padmaavat performed better than Tiger Zinda Hai, PK and Dangal in many countries like Australia, North America and Singapore.
Padmaavat, starring Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor opened to unanimous praise, courtesy—stellar act of the lead actors and Bhansali’s direction.
On the other hand TZH opened to positive to mixed reviews with critics praising Salman as the rogue spy and the action sequences.
Tiger Zinda Hai was released on December 22, 2017 whereas Padmaavat released on January 25, 2018.
