Omi Vaidya shares his journey from '3 Idiots' to Hollywood's 'American Warrior', exploring new challenges and breaking stereotypes.
Rumours about the Padmaavat star Ranveer Singh and Aamir Khan featuring in an advertisement for a smartphone brand are already making rounds. Now, there are speculations that the powerhouse actors are actually going to team up for Hindu epic Mahabharat.
As per IBT’s reports, after witnessing Ranveer Singh’s portrayal of Alauddin Khilji, the perfectionist Aamir Khan was highly impressed and most probably has roped in the actor for the project. Their recent meeting at the Global Investors Summit has given air to the rumours as the two were seen indulging in deep conversation at the event.
Aamir Khan confessed that it is his dream to make a Hindu epic. At the promotions of Secret Superstar, he said, “My dream project is to make the Mahabharata but I’m afraid of starting the project as I know it will consume at least 15-20 years of my life. My favourite character is Karna, but I don’t know if I’ll be able to play him due to my physique. I may just have to play Krishna. I also liked the character of Arjun. He was the only person who asked Krishna why he had to kill his own people,” he had said.
A source revealed to Asian Age, “They (Aamir and Ranveer) had a pretty long chat at the Global Investors Summit where Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadnavis was also present. The two talked about Padmaavat, Thugs of Hindostan and Mahabharata. What exactly was the discussion is a mystery though because they kept their conversation in hushed tones as if they didn’t want anyone to hear it.”
Earlier, Aamir Khan’s Dangal co-actor Fatima Sheikh took to Instagram and posted a picture of Mahabharat placed on her table. Maybe, the actress will also be a part of Aamir’s dream project.
On the work front, Aamir is engaged in shooting for Thugs of Hindostan with Katrina Kaif and Amitabh Bachchan. Whereas, Ranveer Singh next project Gully Boy has gone on the floor.
