Workshop on PESA Act in Ranchi tomorrow
The Jharkhand government is organizing a workshop in Ranchi on Tuesday with the aim of disseminating awareness about the Provisions of the Panchayats (Extension to the Scheduled Areas) Act, 1996 (PESA Act).
The bodies of a couple and their son were found inside their flat in Jharkhand’s Jamshedpur on Tuesday, which also happened to be the marriage anniversary of the couple, police said.
According to police, 39-year-old Nishant Bhaiva, a resident of Vijaya Gardens in the steel city of Jamshedpur, was an engineer and had been working on contract.

Nishant had four flats in a Vijaya Gardens apartment complex. His parents lived in one while he and his family lived in another flat.

The bodies of Nishant, Purnima and six-year-old Akshat were found by Nishant’s mother when she came to see them in the morning.
Nishant committed suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling fan, according to police.
A four-page suicide note was recovered in which he mentioned the loss his employer had suffered and blamed himself for it.
Police suspect the first poisoned his wife and son and then hanged himself.
