Reports suggest that Wamiqa Gabbi is the top contender for the role of the female lead in Ranveer Singh’s ‘Shaktimaan’-inspired film.
Padmaavat star Ranveer Singh is riding high on the success of the film. The actor was critically acclaimed for his performance in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus. But now it’s time to move over the fanatic Alauddin Khilji as the actor is geared up to play a street rapper in Gully Boy.
A throwback picture from his college days proves why he is the best choice for the character. Recently, an old picture of the actor is taking round on the internet in which Ranveer totally looks like a rockstar. Other than featuring in the ‘underdog story’ of a street rapper, he will be seen in Kapil Dev’s biopic ’83. Ranveer has Rohit Shetty’s Simmba, too, on his list.
