Premier League clubs approve changes to associated party transaction rules
The proposed changes came into play after an independent tribunal found some aspects of the APT rules to be unlawful following Manchester City’s lawsuit.
Arsenal stormed to a 3-0 away win against Swedish side Ostersunds on Thursday night.
Arsenal stormed to a 3-0 away win over Ostersunds FK in their UEFA Europa League round-of-32 clash on Thursday night and while Gunners midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan struggled to hide his delight at the result, the Armenian cautioned his teammates as he felt the tie was not done and dusted yet.
“I think it was their first game for a while. We are in the season, so we keep playing and we are more practiced. But I can say, they have got a very good team, they try to show off their ability and skills, but we scored two goals at the beginning and it helped us,” Mkhitaryan effused after the game.
Fullback Nacho Monreal gave the visitors the lead as early as the 13th minute and a Sotirios Papagiannnopoulos own goal 11 minutes later had the Gunners cruising.

Mesut Ozil would add a third, with Mkhitaryan providing the assist, in the second-half to cap-off a fine week for Premier League sides in continental competition.
English outfits were unbeaten in Europe this week, with Liverpool and Manchester City recording massive away wins while Tottenham Hotspur battled to a credible 2-2 draw at Juventus in their Champions League tie.

Mkhitaryan was asked whether he felt the job was done for the North Londoners, to which the Armenian replied, “No, I don’t think so. Because we have to focus in every game. It doesn’t matter if we have got a good result or not. We have to win in every game to get more confidence and to have better success. It doesn’t matter who we are going to play after the second leg, yes, we have a game in the (Carabao)cup final but we have to play with the same team, I think, and to win at home”.
Arsenal’s new No.7 was quizzed on the importance of the competition and whether he could win it for a second season running and the former Manchester United man had a ready response:
“Why not? We have to keep fighting, we have to win every game and then at the end, we’ll see where we’re at”.
After hosting the Swedish outfit at the Emirates in the return leg next week, Arsenal will prepare for a shot at the first trophy of the season as they take on Pep Guardiola’s all-conquering Manchester City in the Carabao Cup final.
Despite being massive underdogs for the tie at Wembley, the Gunners will take heart from their FA Cup triumph over London rivals Chelsea in May last year as they won that final despite the Blues being the bookies favourites.
