Although, the film is said to be set in rural areas of India and will narrate the story of a man’s effort to bring electricity to his village Shahid’s look from the set has generated quite the buzz among fans for his dapper look.
The film is being helmed by Shree Narayan Singh, who directed the 2017 super hit film Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, and will feature Shahid, Shraddha and Yami Gautam in the lead roles.
It’ll be interesting to Narayan’s next social comedy drama on the electricity issues that a common man can relate to after the historical success of his last film ‘Toilet…’ won universal acclaim for its subject.
Presented by T-Series and KriArj entertainment, Batti Gul Meter Chalu is scheduled to release in late 2018 or early 2019.
