2014 blockbuster Kick was a turning point in Jacqueline Fernandez’s career. However, the stunning beauty will not be a part of the sequel.
Kick 2 has already booked its release date and will feature Salman Khan reprising his role of Devil aka Devi Lal Singh. But much to everyone’s surprise Jacqueline is no longer a part of the action-thriller.
According to Bollywood Life, Kick 2 will have a new female actor paired opposite Salman.

“Jacqueline will not be a part of ‘Kick 2’, however, this is not because of any issue between anyone but because the story is completely different. Jacqueline’s track ended in ‘Kick’. In fact, ‘Kick 2’ has a completely new plot and character, hence Sajid and his team decided to cast a new leading lady. They’ve shortlisted a few names and should make an announcement soon,” said a source close to the film.
Kick was a game changer for Jacqueline, who was appreciated for pairing with Salman, and ever since then has been one of the leading actors of commercial cinema.
It’s indeed a shocking news for the actor’s fans who will not see her in the sequel, but at the same it’ll be interesting to see who would be cast opposite Salman in one of the much awaited sequels.
If rumours are to be believed Deepika Padukone is among the shortlisted actors to essay Salman’s love interest in the film. But who knows if Salman and Sajid Nadiadwala just might launch a fresh face.
Whatever the scenario might be, Kick 2 has already generated the buzz among the fans.
Coming back to Jacqueline, if not Kick 2 then Jacqueline has some pretty good films lined up, which include Karan Johar’s Drive and Remo D’Souza’s Race 3 opposite Salman.
Kick 2 is an upcoming sequel to 2014 blockbuster Kick and is scheduled to release on Christmas 2019.
