BJP turning a deaf ear to struggles of backward classes: Rahul in J’khand
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Friday accused the BJP of turning a deaf ear to the struggles of backward classes.
The Lok Sabha has been adjourned for the day after paying tributes to BJP member Hukum Singh, who died on Saturday.
On the other hand, the Rajya Sabha was adjourned till 2 pm, on Monday, minutes after it met for the day amid ruckus by Samajwadi Party (SP) members.
As soon as the Upper House assembled, the SP members protested against police shoot-outs in Uttar Pradesh and demanded a discussion on it.

Party MP Naresh Agarwal gave a notice under a rule to suspend all the listed business and hold the discussion. Chairman M. Venkaiah Naidu refused to admit the notice, saying he would allow a discussion under another rule.
Shouting slogans, the protesting SP members did not allow others to raise any issue during Zero Hour.
Talking about the Lok Sabha, soon after the House met, three new members — Congress members from Rajasthan Karan Singh Yadav and Raghu Sharma as well as TMC member from West Bengal Sajda Ahmed — took oath.
Yadav has been elected from Alwar while Sharma and Ahmed represent Ajmer and Uluberia constituencies, respectively.
After the members took oath, Speaker Sumitra Mahajan made the obituary reference about Hukum Singh, who represented Kairana constituency in Uttar Pradesh.
79-year-old Singh was also the chairperson of the Standing Committee on Water Resources and member of General Purposes Committee of the Lok Sabha.
