Taliban seize Jalalabad, cut off Afghan capital from east
Militants posted photos online early Sunday showing them in the governor’s office in Jalalabad, the capital of Nangarhar province.
A suicide bombing rocked the Jalalabad city in Afghanistan on Wednesday, a government spokesman said.
The blast was followed by gunshots, Attaullah Khogiani said. The gun battle continues, Xinhua quoted Khogiani as saying.
