Dying to kill
It is reported in the press that in Pakistan, 12 security personnel were killed last month when a suicide bomber rammed an explosive-laden vehicle into a check post in Pakistan’s north-western Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
In the backdrop of Afghanistan’s 138-run win over Ireland in an ODI match on Tuesday, spinner Mujeeb Zadran made his international debut with style at Sharjah.
The 16-year-old became the first 21st century’s male cricketer to play international cricket. Earlier, Ireland women’s all-rounder Gaby Lewis scripted the same record in women’s cricket.

Lewis had achieved the feat three years ago, playing a T20 International against South Africa in England.

Off-spinner Zadran excelled on his debut match and claimed four wickets to help his team beat Ireland.
For his impressive show at Sharjah, Zadran was bestowed with the Man of The Match (MOTM) award and he became the youngest cricketer to receive a MOTM on his debut.
With the magical spell of 4/24, Zadran joined the record-holder Shapoor Zadran who claimed the same figures on his debut against the Netherlands in 2009.
Zadran came into limelight recently when he mystically helped Afghanistan win U-19 Asia Cup in Kuala Lumpur. In the tournament last month, he accumulated 20 wickets from five matches.
