Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti on Thursday met Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and discussed the appointment of Dineshwar Sharma as the interlocutor for dialogue on the state as well as its overall security situation.

In a sudden change of its tough stand, the Centre on October 23 announced its decision to start a dialogue process in Jammu and Kashmir and appointed Sharma, a former Intelligence Bureau (IB) Director as its representative for talks with “all” stakeholders in the troubled-state.
