Ajay Devgn marks 33 years in Bollywood: From ‘Phool Aur Kaante’ to ‘Singham’

Golmaal Again has proven why a franchise will always work at the box office. The film had an earth-shattering first day opening on October 20 as it earned Rs.30.14 cr, becoming the second highest single-day opener of 2017.
The film, which marks the fourth instalment in the comedy franchise, was released during the festival of Diwali and despite a tough competition from Aamir Khan’s Secret Superstar, the film has grossed more than Rs. 58 cr at the box office in just two days!
Keeping Bahubaali 2 aside, which belongs to the Tollywood, the film is also the only Bollywood film so far to earn more than Rs. 30 cr at the box office on its opening day.

The film reunites most of the actors from the previous editions of the film and features new additions like Parineeti Chopra, Tabu, Neil Nitin Mukesh and Prakash Jha.
Be it a multi-starrer film or the franchise of Bollywood’s one of the most popular films, everything works in favour of the film. Sunday’s collections are crucial but nonetheless good word of mouth and extended Diwali holidays will only get more seats filled and a good number at the box office.
Directed by Rohit Shetty, the film was released worldwide on October 20.
