RBI asks fintech firms, digital payment cos to ensure responsible innovation
RBI Governor Sanjay Malhotra on Thursday asked fintech firms and digital payment companies to ensure responsible innovation and better compliance.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday called upon the country’s youth to focus on innovation in order to make India the largest start-up hub in the world.
Addressing a large gathering of students to mark the centenary celebrations of the Patna University, Modi said the country’s universities need to shift from conventional teaching to innovative learning.

“As youngsters, I urge you to think about innovative solutions to the problems faced by people around you. Through what you learnt, there is a lot you can do for society,” Modi said.

“India is at the fourth spot for the most start ups, but we can attain the top position as India is a youthful nation, blessed with youthful aspirations. Our youngsters can do a lot for the nation and the world,” he added.With over 3,100 start ups, India is ranked as the fourth largest start-up hub in the world, according to the Economic Survey 2014-15.After attending the centenary celebrations of the Patna University, Modi will lay the foundation stones for several projects here.
Four sewerage projects under the Namami Gange Programme and four national highway projects in Mokama area of Patna district. The total outlay of these projects will be over Rs.3,700 crore.
