Pakistani mortar shell recovered near India-Bangladesh borders in Bengal’s Cooch Behar
When one of the construction workers first noticed the shell, he mistook it as some ordinary explosive and panicked.
A civilian was injured on Thursday in firing and shelling by Pakistan Rangers on the international border in Jammu and Kashmir’s Jammu district while firing was also on in Samba district, police said.
“Unprovoked heavy firing and shelling was started by Pakistan Rangers in Ramgarh sector of Samba district. One civilian was injured earlier today in firing and shelling by Pakistan Rangers in Arnia sector of Jammu district,” police said.

BSF troopers have “strongly and effectively retaliated” at both these places, it added.
